Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2026-09-09T10:36Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
GOES: CCOR-1
Activity ID: 2026-09-09T10:36:00-CME-001 (version 2)
Note Keyword:
3P: 3-part structure CME
DFL: Likely deflection of the event within the FOV
FOV: Front Bright front; may be evidence of pileup
SB: Streamer Blowout following CME
Source Signature Keyword:
FIL: Filament eruption
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
Note: This CME is visible to the East in SOHO LASCO C2, C3, GOES CCOR-1, and STEREO A imagery. The source of this CME appears to be a long-duration filament eruption visible along the E/SE limb in GOES SUVI 304 and 284 imagery starting around 2026-09-09T06:30Z with liftoff around 2026-09-09T10:36Z. Moving/opening field lines are visible with some apparent deflection towards the north as it progresses out of the field of view in GOES SUVI 284. The CME also exhibits a small deflection towards the north as it progresses outward in the SOHO LASCO field of view. There is a simultaneous CME visible to the East in STEREO A COR2 around the same start time, however this CME is believed to be associated with a C-class flare and is not the same CME feature seen in SOHO LASCO C2 that is associated with this entry. The CME is visible in later frames in STEREO A as a wider feature.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |
